1. Overview
R Player is a general-purpose Android media player offered by R Media. It plays compatible media URLs and local media files chosen by the user. R Player does not provide a media catalog, user playlists, channels, or preloaded third-party content.
2. Media URLs and titles
URLs and titles entered into R Player are used to start playback on the user's device. The application does not need to upload these entries to an R Media server to perform its core playback function.
The owner of a media server may independently receive technical request information, such as the user's IP address, device network information, request headers, and playback requests. That processing is controlled by the media server, not by R Media.
3. Local media files
When a user chooses a local video, R Player uses Android's system document picker. The user selects the file and Android grants the app access to that selected item. R Player does not require unrestricted access to all files solely for this feature.
4. Advertising
The free version of R Player may use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, approximate location inferred from network information, ad interactions, diagnostic data, and consent choices, subject to applicable law and Google's policies.
Where required, R Player uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent or present privacy choices before requesting eligible advertisements.
5. Ad-free purchases
If an ad-free plan is offered through this website, the selected payment provider may collect payment and billing information. R Media should not receive full card or bank credentials when checkout is processed directly by the payment provider.
Purchase records or activation identifiers may be processed as necessary to verify payment, activate ad-free access, prevent fraud, provide support, and maintain required accounting records. The final checkout page should clearly identify the payment provider and its privacy policy.
6. Information we may receive
Depending on the final services enabled in the app and website, we may receive limited information including:
- Messages and information voluntarily provided when contacting support.
- Purchase confirmation and activation information for an ad-free plan.
- Technical diagnostics or crash information if a crash-reporting service is added.
- Aggregated advertising and application-performance reports provided by service partners.
7. Information R Player does not provide
R Player does not provide or sell media subscriptions, television channels, movies, playlists, or access credentials. It does not ask users to upload copyrighted media to R Media.
8. Legal bases and purposes
Where data-protection law applies, information may be processed to provide requested app functions, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, perform a contract such as an ad-free purchase, or obtain consent where consent is required.
9. Data sharing
Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the app or website, such as Google Play, Google AdMob, consent-management services, hosting providers, and the selected payment processor. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users, R Media, or others.
10. Data retention
R Media should retain support and purchase information only as long as reasonably necessary for activation, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, and dispute resolution. Information controlled by third-party providers is retained according to their own policies.
11. Security
Reasonable safeguards should be used to protect information handled by R Media. No application, website, payment system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. Children's privacy
R Player is a utility media player and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Advertising settings and Play Console declarations must accurately reflect the app's intended audience and the advertising configuration used in the published version.
13. User choices
Depending on location and applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding personal information handled by R Media. Advertising privacy choices may also be available through the consent or privacy-options interface presented in the app.
14. External websites and services
This website links to Google Play and may link to a payment provider. External services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. R Media is not responsible for their independent practices.
15. Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the app, advertising configuration, payment system, or legal requirements change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
16. Contact
Add a monitored privacy or support email address here before publishing this policy and before accepting payments. Google Play requires a working privacy-policy contact path that users can access.
